Oreille Round Pot
$24.00
"Oreille" means ear in French and that's exactly what the handles on this petite pot look like. While useful for serving cold deserts or hot soup, this vessel is cast in heat-resistant white clay, and can be used in the microwave, over an open flame or in the oven. Use it for gratin dishes, cheesy egg bakes, individual scampi's, or your favorite molten cake.
The Oreille pot is produced by Marumitsu pottery in Aichi, Japan—home to kilns with the longest production history in Japan. Since 1950, Marumitsu has focused on functional ceramic-wares employing local potters who use both traditional and modern techniques.
