Painted Brahman Bull

Found in Southern India, this painted wood bull is a sweet reminder of tradition, reverence, and the truly hand-made. It was likely a child's toy and the hump feature tells us that this is a Brahman bull. It's a bit chipped along the base but we can clearly see the remnants of the bull's brightly painted embellishments and base. The body is smooth and well-loved.  If you're a collector of found, folk, and outsider art, this will be a wonderful addition to your collection.
